Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Celebrates Dasara with New Teacher Appointments

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the Telangana government is adding to the joy of the Dasara festival by offering 11,062 appointment orders to aspiring teachers. He shared this news during a public event on Wednesday. According to him, this move aligns with the festive spirit and will benefit both the teachers and the state’s education system.

Despite challenges posed by the BRS party, the Chief Minister said the government succeeded in making the appointments a significant event. He emphasized that these new teachers would not only secure jobs but also play a key role in improving the quality of education in Telangana. He promised that the government is committed to restoring the past glory of government schools and will soon fill up all remaining teacher vacancies.

Revanth Reddy also highlighted the critical role of teachers in shaping the future of children. He expressed confidence that this recruitment drive would strengthen the education system, making people proud to send their children to government schools. He urged teachers to work with dedication to create a bright future for the younger generation.

The Chief Minister pointed out that many great leaders, including former President Abdul Kalam, had studied in government schools. He humbly mentioned that he, too, studied in a government school and went on to become the Chief Minister of Telangana. Other prominent leaders like Bhatti Vikramarka and Prof Kodandaram are also products of government schools.

During the event, the new teachers took a pledge to contribute to the overall development of students, especially by teaching them the values necessary for life. Revanth Reddy noted that there are around 30,000 government schools in the state, with a student population of 24 lakh. In contrast, private schools number 10,000 and have 34 lakh students. He said this imbalance should be addressed, and parents should take pride in enrolling their children in government schools.

The Chief Minister also shared plans for improving school infrastructure. The government will soon lay the foundation stone for integrated residential schools in 25 Assembly constituencies, at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore. Additionally, the government intends to implement the recommendations of the Education Commission to further enhance the education system.

Revanth Reddy ended his speech by encouraging teachers to take on the responsibility of protecting students from harmful influences like drugs and ensuring they become valuable resources for the future of the country.
