Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum has said it is important for his team to be more efficient in front of goal.

Waldrum’s side defeated the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 1-0 on Monday to seal a place in the final qualifying round of the 2024 Olympic Games.

Esther Okoronkwo scored the winner in the 14th minute.

The Super Falcons however wasted a number scoring chances in the game especially in the first half.

“In the match we had some chances that we missed and it was a match we really struggled to win,” Waldrum said during his interaction with media after the game.

“You can go back and look at the opportunities that we had. We could have easily finished the game at half time.

“So, we have to be more efficient and clinical around our opponents’ vital area and convert chances into goals.

“I would have also preferred the match to be played in the night because the weather was hot, but we can’t complain because the players are all Nigerians and are used to it.”
