Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum says his team is battle ready for tonight’s 2024 Olympic Games qualifying fixture against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon despite not having enough time to prepare for the contest.
The nine-time African champions only trained thrice ahead of the third round first leg fixture billed for the Stade de la Reunification, Douala.
Waldrum’s side will also have a limited time to prepare for the reverse fixture in Abuja next week Monday.

Despite the challenges encountered in their preparation for the qualifiers, Waldrum is optimistic his side will seal a place in the final round.
“Anytime we have an international break, we don’t have much training time especially when you have two matches,” Waldrum told reporters.
“I think we are as prepared as we can be. Our players are playing abroad. Coming after the World Cup, I think the players are in great spirit.
“We respect Cameroon and we know it will be a great match in both legs but I think we would be ready.”
