This summer, Thierry Henry will be in charge of the French team for the Paris Olympic Games. If the current coach of the Espoirs should mainly rely on a group of young players, he nevertheless wishes to enlist the services of certain executives of Didier Deschamps such as Kylian Mbappé, Antoine Griezmann or even Olivier Giroud. But like the first two mentioned, the possibility of seeing the AC Milan striker with the French delegation could quickly take its toll.

At the end of his contract next June and having received no extension proposal from the Lombard club, the 37-year-old player has decided to join his ex-teammate with the Blues, Hugo Lloris, in Los Angeles according to The Team. If the operation were to materialize, the American franchise would need him at the end of Euro 2024. Thus, the sports daily adds that Olivier Giroud will have to give up on the Olympics.
