Former Nigerian international Garba Lawal says the Super Eagles’ 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda will be very difficult.
The three-time AFCON champions are unbeaten in Group D and are top of the table.
Nigeria will face Benin on November 14, before confronting Rwanda on November 18.

Speaking in an interview with Brila FM, Lawal stated that the Super Eagles can’t afford to relax if they are to pick the maximum points.
“These two matches won’t be easy, and we cannot afford to relax. The players Eguavoen has selected are capable of winning both games. Nigerians want to see the commitment from the players,” he said.
“If they give their best, the fans will support them. It’s normal in football — you can’t win every game, but the most important thing is for the team to show their ability and commitment.”
