Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has warned the team not to underestimate Libya ahead of Friday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Nigeria will host Libya at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo as they team up to maintain their unbeaten record in the group.

The Super Eagles top Group D with four points and are the only team yet to concede a goal in the group, and a double header victory over Libya will see them move clear and edge closer to securing qualification.

However, speaking with AdemolaVictor TV, the Lazio star stated that the team will give their 100% against Libya.

“One thing I always say is you cannot overlook any team when it comes to football. It’s 11v11.

“If you’re not 100 percent going into the game, for sure your opponent is going to be 100%, so you always have to make sure you are switched on.”

“For the game, as long as we do what the coach wants from us, as long as all the players are on the same page and we give one hundred percent, then I feel like we should win both games.

“And that should help us sit comfortably at the top of the table.”

This will be the fifth meeting between Nigeria and Libya, with the Super Eagles winning all four previous encounters, including two games in the AFCON qualifiers back in 2018.
