Rwanda forced Libya to a 1-1 draw away in the first game in Group D of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Wednesday.
Subhi Al Dawi gave Libya the lead in the 16th minute before Innocent Nshuti equalised just two minutes into the second half.
The other two teams in the group are Nigeria’s Super Eagles and the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.
The Eagles will host Benin Republic in Uyo on Saturday, September 7 inside the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
Rwanda will then host the Eagles on matchday 2 in Kigali on Tuesday, September 10.
Benin Republic, Rwanda and the Eagles are in the same group in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The last time the Eagles faced Benin Republic in the World Cup qualifiers, it ended in a 2-1 defeat for the three-time AFCON winners.
