2025 AFCONQ : Super Eagles To Hold First Training Tuesday Evening

The Super Eagles will hold their first training today (Tuesday) ahead of their Group D AFCON 2025 qualifiers against Libya.

According to the media officer, Promise Efoghe, the training, which will be open for coverage, will hold at 5pm.

On Wednesday, October 9, there will be a media parley with the Eagles players at Four Points hotel at Ikot Ekpene.

Then on Thursday, October 10, there will be a press conference at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

The Super Eagles will host Libya on matchday 3 in Uyo before traveling to Benghazi Libya for the reverse fixture billed for October 15.

Super Eagles defeated Benin Republic 3-0 thanks to goals from Ademola Lookman, who bagged a brace, and a strike from Victor Osimhen.

In their second group game the Eagles held Rwanda to a 0-0 draw in Kigali.

Libya played a 1-1 draw at home to Rwanda in their first game and lost 2-1 to Benin Republic in Abidjan.

The Eagles top Group D on four points while Libya are bottom with just one point.

The last time the Eagles faced Libya was in 2018 during the qualifiers for the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

The Eagles won the first leg 4-0 in Uyo before securing a 3-2 win away.
