Speaking shortly after the unveiling, Agu told Completesports.com that Finidi must stick with some of the players against South Africa in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
“Finidi has been part of the team, and it’s a good thing that he has been appointed as the Super Eagles head coach for continuity sake.
“However, he must also ensure that he continues with the players on ground and look for other areas that need to be amended because he has been part and parcel of the team.
“I also think he’s in the right place to get the job done.”
