Nigeria Premier Football League outfit Rangers have celebrated Kenneth Igboke’s invitation to the Super Eagles, reports Completesports.com.

Igboke was named as replacement for the injured Victor Osimhen by Super Eagles head coach Finidi George ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Bafana Bafana of South Africa and Squirrels of Benin Republic.

Osimhen will be sidelined for around four weeks after sustaining an injury, while in action for his club Napoli.

Igboke earned his invitation on the back of his impressive performance for Rangers this season.

The Flying Antelopes took to the social media to celebrate his invitation.

“Dear Kenneth Igboke,

Congratulations on your first National team call-up for next month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin Republic. We’re incredibly proud of you and confident you’ll make us all proud.

“Best of luck, Igboke.”

The left-back is expected to arrive Super Eagles camp this weekend.

The Super Eagles will entertain Bafana Bafana at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday, June 7.

The former African champions will then travel to Abidjan where they will be guests of Benin three days later.
