Wilfred Ndidi has said the Super Eagles must beat South Africa to get their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign back on track.

The Super Eagles are yet to record a win in Group C after recording just two points from their opening two games.

Finidi George’s side will host Bafana Bafana in a matchday three encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday.

Anything short of a win in the game could mar the team’s chances of making it to the mundial.

Finidi stated that they must give their all to beat the visitors.

“Nobody needs to tell us that we did not start the campaign well enough. The opportunity has arisen to take our fate in our hands and rise to strong contention in our pool. We will approach Friday’s encounter with the right mental attitude,” Ndidi told thenff.com.

The encounter will kick-off at 8pm Nigeria time.
