It’s clear that Barcelona will be undergoing another major overhaul this summer given that manager, Xavi Hernandez, will be replaced.

The entire backroom team are likely to follow the legendary midfielder out of the exit door too, meaning that any players not sold this summer in order that the Catalans can survive another summer under tight Financial Fair Play rules, will have to get used to another manager’s way of working.



If the new man in charge does his due diligence correctly, he’s likely to wipe the slate clean for most of the squad, giving everyone a chance to impress.

Second-choice goalkeeper, Inaki Pena, might be glad of the reprieve.

David De Gea is a potential target for Barcelona.

Though he appeared to start well during his stint replacing the injured Marc-Andre ter Stegen, it quickly became apparent that he wasn’t at the right level to be a long-term replacement for the German custodian.

Perhaps with that in mind, Mundo Deportivo are reporting that the Blaugranes are considering whether to make a move for ex-Man United keeper, David de Gea.

Barcelona should appeal to de Gea
