Lady Gaga established herself as a bonafide actress with her performance in A Star is Born. However, it turns out that several other famous singers were up for the role before she was cast. The focus is now on her portrayal of Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie a Deux, but the pop star’s portrayal of singer/songwriter Ally Maine alongside Bradley Cooper earned Gaga her first Oscar win and laid the groundwork for future roles. Who were they and what happened that led to them being overlooked? With Joker: Folie a Deux premiering this weekend, we did some digging to see who else could have played Ally!
