The Niger State Governor, Mohammed Bago, has urged Nigerians to intensify their prayers for the peace and prosperity of the nation.
Bago made the appeal on Monday, ahead of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary, noting that the nation is indeed facing difficult times.
This was disclosed in a statement released by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, where Bago affirmed that the country’s problems were surmountable.
“The nation is indeed going through a difficult time at the moment. The people should strengthen their faith in God as governments at all levels are making concerted efforts to alleviate their sufferings and stabilise the economy.
“The challenges may be enormous, but they are surmountable, and by the grace of God, there will be light at the end of the tunnel,” Bago said.
He urged Nigerians not to focus solely on the negatives but to reflect on God’s mercies and favours, and be thankful for keeping the nation united despite the challenges.
The governor reminded every Nigerian that a united country is more beneficial and congratulated them on the 64th anniversary of nationhood. He also appealed to all to support the government at every level in the collective task of nation-building.
Bago further reassured Nigerlites that his administration is committed and working tirelessly to ensure the safety of lives and livelihoods while pursuing the New Niger agenda for the benefit of all.
