Stephen Collins‘ former 7th Heaven co-stars are addressing his sexual assault scandal. Back in 2014, it was revealed that the 76-year-old actor admitted to inappropriate sexual contact with three female minors, which he allegedly confessed to his ex-wife Faye Grant during a leaked therapy session from 2012. Victims of abuse need to be shown compassion, and they should be given support.” “As we rewatch these episodes, it would be impossible not to talk about Stephen, because he was such a big part of the show and our lives,” Mackenzie explained. “But we want to be clear that we did not have any inappropriate experiences with Stephen.” “Stephen will not be joining us on this podcast and we do not excuse or condone his behavior,” Beverley said. “Our hope for this podcast is to reconnect with you, our fans, to relive some ’90s nostalgia, and to share our fondest memories of 7th Heaven.” “We know that this is difficult, and we understand that it can be triggering,” David concluded. “But we just want to say that we love you guys, and we’re so grateful for all the love and support that you, our community, have shown to us. Hopefully you guys will stick with us as we continue on this journey.” Back in 2016, Catherine Hicks, who played mom Annie Camden on 7th Heaven, revealed how the show should handle Stephen‘s character Eric Camden if they ever did a reboot.
