Santos scored in a 2-1 victory for his side on Saturday, which leaves them eighth in Ligue 1.

However, he explained after the match that his house was targeted whilst he was on the pitch.

In an Instagram post, the 20-year-old said: "People from Strasbourg, I’ve always respected everyone, they were cowardly while I was playing today!

"Whoever stole (from) my house has 24 hours to return everything."

The post has since been taken down by Santos and is no longer on his Instagram page.

Meanwhile, Le Parisien report that the door to the home had been broken down in the attack.

Jewellery and valuables worth an estimated value of around £422,000 were then stolen.

Santos and his wife Yngryd Freire are currently expecting their first child after they tied the knot in May 2023.

The Brazilian has been on loan at Strasbourg since February last year, with his temporary stay running until the end of this season.

During his time in France, Santos has scored nine goals and provided two assists in 30 appearances across all competitions.

Those strikes include eight this term following his goal against Lille on Saturday.

Santos has yet to play a competitive match for Chelsea, though, having signed from Vasco da Gama in 2023.

The Brazil under-23 international's contract at Stamford Bridge still has five-and-a-half years remaining on it.

He also previously spent the first half of last season on loan at Nottingham Forest before his move to Strasbourg.
