The Portuguese told reporters: "In this moment, no, because I have a job.
"It's a job that motivates me and demands loyalty. But why not in the future?
"People can say the Scottish league is a league of two teams, but it is a league of passion. Passion in football is everything.
"To play in empty stadiums and competitions where there is not that fire of the passion does not make any sense.
"Celtic and Rangers are two big clubs with incredible history, also in Europe. I have lots of respect. They are big clubs with big fan bases, expectations.
"Celtic has a fantastic coach in Brendan (Rodgers). Rangers has (Barry) Ferguson now and I am not searching for a new job."
However, former Scotland forward Brazil has urged Mourinho to snub Rangers.
Reacting to his comments on Breakfast, the talkSPORT co-host said: "Don't even think of going there Jose. There's only one place to go."
When pressed on whether Rangers was the perfect job for Mourinho at this moment in time, Brazil immediately responded: "No. Jose's a good guy."

Brazil said: "He will know Rangers are a sleeping giant. He's not stupid, he's clever.
"With the right funding and his funding, it would be interesting. I can see it happening."
Celtic fan Brazil also doubts Mourinho will turn up at his boyhood club anytime soon, though, adding that Brendan Rodgers is 'going nowhere'.
The Celtic manager won a domestic double last season following his return to the club and has already lifted the Scottish League Cup this term.
Meanwhile, the Bhoys are currently 16 points clear of manager-less Rangers with nine matches remaining.
