Kylian Mbappé is set to spend an incredible sum on a new home in Spain as he prepares to join Real Madrid this summer.
Kylian Mbappé is on the hunt for property in the Spanish capital as he prepares for a free transfer to La Liga champions Real Madrid, having already informed Paris Saint-Germain that he will leave when his contract would expire at the end of the season.
Lydia Martinez, CEO of retail group Steps Relocation, has helped many top athletes find a home in Spain and outlined how much the French international could spend this year, telling Marca: ” Here we have two things: he wants a large space to train, so he cannot be in the center of Madrid, but at the same time he is a young person that we will not be able to isolate in a place where he has to drive 45 minutes every time he wants to go to a restaurant.”
A question of time
She adds : “In my experience, they usually don’t look at the price much. They usually rent until they purchase the perfect home. The purchase is between 12 and 16 million euros, depending on what you want. For rent, around 25,000 euros and up to 35,000 euros per month is completely normal. They can spend a year finding the house already built or two years, two and a half years if you buy land and build houses as you want. »
Martinez advised Mbappé to move to the luxurious La Moraleja neighborhood on the outskirts of Madrid. Several of his future teammates at Santiago Bernabéu, like Vinicius Junior, currently live in this area, which offers privacy and plenty of space.
No deal between Mbappe and Madrid has been announced so far, but it appears it is only a matter of time before the 25-year-old confirms a move to the Spanish giants. In the meantime, he will try to lead PSG far in the Champions League, with the French team already qualified for the quarter-finals.
