The divorce between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain is still far from being settled. As a reminder, in addition to having had to digest the departure of its star without receiving a single cent, the capital club is still in conflict with the Bondynois due to unpaid bonuses and salaries. Towards mediation?
These remarks were followed by the referral to the LFP legal committee. This Wednesday, the lawyers of both parties met at the headquarters of the governing body. And according to RMC Sportthe legal commission asked PSG and the Mbappé clan to set up mediation in order to avoid further legal proceedings in this case. A decision welcomed by the French champions who reacted via a press release published by a journalist from RMC Sport.
“Paris Saint-Germain welcomes the hearing that was held today for two hours before the committee. The club recalled that the player had made clear commitments, repeated in public and in private, and that these commitments must be respected by the player, in the context of 7 fantastic seasons corresponding to an unprecedented investment by the club. In light of the arguments documented at the time, the committee insisted on the establishment of mediation between the parties, which Paris Saint-Germain has been seeking for many months. The committee invited the player to consider this mediation process.” It now remains to be seen what the position of the Mbappé clan is.
