Among the original reconversions, that of Ulrich Ramé deserves an isolated look. Former Bordeaux goalkeeper and even voted best goalkeeper in Division 1 in 1999, Ramé hung up his gloves 11 years ago, with a final break at Sedan. He was subsequently named performance director of the Girondins in 2014, before acting on the bench of the professional team upon the departure of Sagnol in 2016. In 2021, he became manager of the women’s section of the PSG and left the club a year later.

Today, the daily life of the former French international (13 caps) and 2000 European champion is much less punctuated by football, a passion replaced by another: architecture, a field for which the 52-year-old man now devotes a lot of his time. As revealed SouthwestRamé began a professional reconversion over the last two years alongside interior designer David Dalidec, whom he met during his playing career when he was still a sports coach. A trajectory that goes off the beaten track.
