After just one season in France, Jake O’Brien will leave OL to return to England. The Irish defender is expected at Everton.

One short season and then it’s gone for Jake O’Brien. Arriving from Crystal Palace in 2023, the Irish defender is expected to leave Olympique Lyonnais this summer.

After being one of the great satisfactions of the Gones last season, the 23-year-old player was courted in the Premier League. According to Fabrizio Romano, it is towards Everton that he will head. An agreement in principle has been reached between OL and the Toffees, and the player could pass his medical examination as early as Sunday if he finds common ground with the Mersey club.

Recruited for just 1 million euros, O’Brien should allow OL to achieve a very nice capital gain.
