Major celebrities allegedly involved with Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex crimes have quietly reached settlements, according to an attorney.
Tony Buzbee announced Monday that he plans to sue several A-listers who allegedly helped the record producer cover up his sexual abuse, but he claimed some of the stars have already paid up in an attempt to keep their identities private.
“If you were attending one of these parties, if you will, and you attended before or you knew what was going to happen — that is, you knew that a particular drug was being used in drinks that was causing people to be coerced and taken advantage of — and you were there in the room or you participated or you watched it happen and didn’t say anything or you helped cover it up, in my view, you have a problem,” Buzbee told TMZ.
The lawyer said he is planning on aggressively pursuing legal action against certain celebrities.
“Who will be named, when they will be named, all that will come out in due course,” he teased.
Buzbee explained that “a lot of people” attended Combs’ parties and said nothing.
The legal eagle has already sent out letters of demand to VIPs who are accused of being involved in assaults that occurred at the rapper’s famed soirées.
“In every single case, especially cases like this, we collect our data, collect our evidence, do our due diligence, spend time with the victim, and then because it’s the best interest of the victim, we attempt to resolve these matters without the filing of a public lawsuit, and we have done that already,” he explained.
“We’ve done that with a handful of individuals, many of which you’ve heard of before, and we’ll continue to do that.”
Buzbee is representing 120 victims and noted that, through a vetting process, he has fielded thousands of calls from people claiming to be victims of an assault by Combs.
The Bad Boy Records founder, 54, was known for throwing wild, star-studded parties where partygoers were allegedly victims of sexual abuse.
Famous faces to appear at his blowout bashes include Leonardo DiCaprio, Ashton Kutcher, Paris Hilton and the Kardashians, though none have been charged with any crimes.
Combs was arrested in New York City on Sept. 16 and charged with three counts: racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The “I’ll Be Missing You” artist is being held behind bars after being denied bail.
