Times are tough at Bayern Munich. Humiliated on the pitch at Bayer Leverkusen last weekend and beaten in the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League against Lazio Rome, the Munich club has just announced the long absence of one of its members.

The Bavarian team announced this Friday the absence for several weeks of its new recruit Sacha Boey. The French defender, recruited for 30 million euros from Galatasaray, was hit in the back of the left thigh.

FC Bayern will have to do without Sacha Boey (23) in the coming weeks. This winter’s newcomer suffered a large tear of a muscle fiber in the back of his left thigh. It is not yet clear how long the 23-year-old will be unavailable.

However, for the moment, his dream is still very far away and his injury should not help things. The European Championship is gradually moving away…
