Didier Deschamps will communicate his list this Thursday for the next gathering of the French team. A new face could appear.
There are words and actions. At the end of 2023, Didier Deschamps clearly suggested, in his communication, that the France group was closed for more than six months before the European Nations Championship. But water has flowed under the bridges, and the coach of the Blues, who knows the hazards of the job, obviously did not exclude any hypothesis.
This Thursday, at 2 p.m., Deschamps will communicate his first list for 2024 in view of the friendly matches against Germany on March 23, then Chile three days later. It will have significant importance since this gathering is the only one before the Blues’ projection for the Euro, at the end of spring (kick-off on June 14).
A big surprise in the Blues list?
If all the executives of the France team are expected (Mbappé, Griezmann, Maignan, Tchouaméni, Giroud, the Hernandez brothers, Rabiot, etc.), a new kid could appear: Bradley Barcola.
According to information from TF1, Didier Deschamps and his staff were seduced by the progress of the Paris Saint-Germain striker. Arriving in the capital last summer after his emergence at Olympique Lyonnais, the international Espoirs showed an impeccable state of mind to establish himself as an important element of his club, despite the strong competition. His dribbling quality, his versatility and his activity without the ball speak for him. The former Lyonnais would also benefit from the absences of Christopher Nkunku, Moussa Diaby and especially Kingsley Coman, currently injured.
