Inactive for several months, former Marseille player Mario Balotelli is about to put on his crampons again.

Mario Balotelli is in advanced talks over a move to Spain. La Cadena Cope claims that the enfant terrible of Italian football is in negotiations with Intercity Alicante.

Intercity plays in Primera RFEF and has approached Balotelli in order to maximize its chances of reaching the Segunda Division.

Balotelli discovers a new championship

The seasoned Italian striker is at the end of his contract after leaving Turkish side Adana Demirspor this summer. Recently, he has especially stood out in the media by outrageously criticizing Zvonimir Boban.

By joining Intercity, Balotelli, a former Nice and Marseille striker, would have his first experience in Spanish football. But probably not at the level he aspired to when he was at his peak.
