A well-known player in the Ligue 1 landscape could risk a 4-year prison sentence.

He had established himself as one of the successful players of the

Girondins de Bordeaux during the last years of the Aquitaine club in Ligue 1: Hwang Ui-jo left good memories for the supporters of the scapular club. But the South Korean international striker, who today plays in Türkiye, at Antalyaspor, is immersed in an extra-sporting affair.

Hwang is in fact accused of having filmed sexual relations he had with his partners without their consent. The Seoul prosecutor’s office on Wednesday requested a four-year prison sentence against the former Girondins de Bordeaux player.

Hwang Ui-Jo’s trial was held on Wednesday at the Seoul Central District Court. The events allegedly took place between June and September 2022. It was the player’s sister-in-law, Lee, aged 33, who allegedly shared this content on social networks.

Despite a complaint filed against the latter, the attacker admitted the facts. “One of the victims refused negotiations and asked for a heavy sentence”indicated the prosecution, in comments relayed by L’Equipe. “ Hwang may have admitted to the accusations now, but his previous denials cast doubt on whether he is truly remorseful. »
