Jesse Eisenberg’s bromance dramedy, A Real Pain, which has been on a tear on the awards circuit, is hitting digital platforms Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home on Dec. 31. The movie which Eisenberg directed, wrote and starred in opposite Kieran Culkin, will arrive on Blu-Ray on Feb. 4.

That span between theatrical release and SVOD is 61 days, a healthy window for an independent film such as this. Searchlight bought the movie out of Sundance earlier this year for $10M. The movie has grossed close to $8M at the global box office.

A Real Pain follows mismatched cousins, David and Benji (Eisenberg and Culkin), who reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the pair’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history.

A Real Pain has scored four Golden Globe Awards including Best Picture, Best Actor Jesse Eisenberg, Best Supporting Actor Kieran Culkin and Best Screenplay. The film won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. In addition A Real Pain nabbed Best Comedy at the Critics Choice Awards this morning. Eisenberg is up for Best Screenplay at the Film Independent Spirit Awards while Culkin is up for Best Supporting Performance. Culkin won Best Supporting Actor from the National Board of Review, where the pic is one of the org’s top ten films, and he also won the same trophy with the New York Film Critics Circle.

A bonus feature on the Blu-Ray will be “Beautiful Fate: Making A Real Pain” which is a behind the scenes tour of the production in Poland with Eisenberg and Culkin.
