Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal welcomed the imminent arrival of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid, comparing him to Robert Lewandowski.
The Spanish full-back claimed that Real Madrid had not informed the players of Mbappé's imminent arrival at the club, while the Merengue would have reached a verbal agreement with the French striker in January. Caravajal, however, welcomed the prospect of playing alongside the France team captain, saying players of the stature of Mbappé and Barcelona star Lewandowski help raise the standard of La Liga.
In an interview with COPE, the defender spoke on this subject: “They didn’t tell us anything. It seems that there is a possibility that he will come. In Madrid the best must come and he is one of the best. For the League and our football, it would be a good thing, just like Lewandowski left for Barcelona. »
“No jealousy”
When asked if the arrival of the star player will have a negative effect on the atmosphere in the dressing room, the Real star replied: “ No jealousy, but the people who have been in the club the longest are responsible for making sure everyone is rowing in the same direction; that when someone goes off the rails a little, we have to grab him by the ear and put him on the rails of our train. »
The 25-year-old French international has been in great shape since the start of the season. He has scored 38 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions for Paris Saint-Germain. The club are currently leading the Ligue 1 title race and are once again favorites to win the title. He also reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France.
