Saudi clubs are still as active this winter. A renowned player will join the Gulf country this winter and the formation of Al Shabab. Indeed, according to information from Relevo, Ivan Rakitic will play in the Saudi Pro League.

The 35-year-old Croatian legend will leave Sevilla FC to join Al Shabab. The former FC Barcelona player would have started to say goodbye to the club’s employees.

The midfielder who returned to Sevilla FC in 2020 had less and less time with the Andalusian club. His coach Quique Sanchez Flores had relegated him to the substitutes’ bench.

For the moment, the duration of his contract and the amount of his future salary have not yet been filtered. But there is no doubt that he should have better financial conditions than at Sevilla FC.

A squad in difficulty with some renowned players

Unless the situation changes, Ivan Rakitic will join Al Shabab. A team in difficulty which is currently in 11th place in the Saudi championship with a total of 21 points. In this squad, he could rub shoulders with Argentinian and former Sevilla FC player Ever Banega, as well as Yannick Carrasco or even former Strasbourg player Habib Diallo.
