UPDATE: The Kamala HarrisDonald Trump debate on ABC News drew 67.14 million viewers across networks on Tuesday.

That’s far more than the 51.3 million who tuned in to CNN’s Trump-Joe Biden debate in June.

ABC drew 19.05 million total viewers as the host network, far more than its rivals.

The debate’s linear TV audience still fell short of the 73.1 million who watched the first presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump in 2020.

PREVIOUSLY: Early numbers show that the ABC News debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris will easily surpass the audience for this cycle’s first event in June featuring Trump and President Joe Biden.

The debate was watched by an estimated 57.7 million viewers across eight networks, according to Nielsen figures released by Fox News. That is higher even than the early numbers for June’s CNN-hosted event, which drew an estimated 51.3 million viewers across 16 networks.

Final figures will be available later today.

ABC News topped all networks with an estimated 18.31 million viewers, followed by NBC News with 9.7 million, Fox News with 8.67 million, MSNBC with 6.02 million, CBS News with 5.91 million, Fox Broadcasting with 4.74 million, CNN with 4.11 million and Fox Business Network with 287,000.

The figures do not include streaming.

ABC News made the debate available for simulcast by rival networks.

Figures later in the day will feature additional networks that aired the event. An estimated 73.1 million watched the first presidential debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump in 2020.
