Abia Warriors trio Sunday Megwo, Ayodele Ezekiel, and Ali Ishaku have been called up to the Super Eagles B team’s camp ahead of Nigeria’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying matches against Ghana in December, Completesports.com reports.
The latest call-ups from Abia Warriors by Eguavoen will join their club-mate, Innocent Godwin, who was earlier invited for the 2025 CHAN qualifier against perennial West African rivals Ghana, scheduled for 20-22 December 2024.
This comes despite Abia Warriors’ 2-0 defeat at home to Heartland in Sunday’s Match Day 10 Oriental Derby in Umuahia.

Sunday Megwo, a striker, is currently Abia Warriors’ leading scorer with four goals in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League season.
Ayodele, a winger, was last season’s revelation and has raised his game this season, troubling opposing defenders with finesse and ease on the wings. Despite being a natural left-footer, Ayodele effectively uses his right foot as well.
Ali Ishaku, a goalkeeper, was named the best goalkeeper in last season’s President Federation Cup, leading the Warriors to the final with his breathtaking saves. He is currently Abia Warriors’ first-choice goalkeeper this season.
