Rafael Leão has lost his splendor in Milan. Having gone from indisputable starter to luxury replacement under the orders of his compatriot Paulo Fonseca, the Portuguese is no longer able to do so in Italy. Author of only one small goal in Serie A this season, the former Lille player has seemed lost since the start of the season and is struggling to get back on track with the Rossoneri, despite his good starts off the bench.

“He came in well and that’s the most important thing, to have that reaction. That’s what I want. Rafa is ready for (face Real) Madrid. I truly believe in teamwork. We have to be a team and we try to make Rafa play like the others, as a team.Fonseca said at a press conference. A reassuring statement but which shows the downgrading of the player trained at Sporting CP.
