After several years of living together, Achraf Hakimi (25 years old) and Hiba Abouk (37 years old) decided to separate last year. The Spanish actress, mother of the player’s two children, looked back on her new life in the columns of A.S. this Tuesday. “I am discreet about my life. It’s the choice I made to be able to be free and not have my life be a subject of conversation in the mouths of others. My life is mine alone.” Then, she returned to her painful separation with the player from Paris Saint-Germain and the Moroccan national team. A footballer accused of sexual assault, which notably precipitated the end of their relationship. “I had the worst year of my life, but it’s over. My priority in life is always my children. I make decisions for them only. (…) How to get out of a story like this? You have to think about it for a long time, debate it a lot with yourself and with him, of course, because he is the one who is involved. Disloyalty kills love. I would forgive infidelity and I have done so more than once. We make a lot of mistakes, but it’s difficult to forgive because you have to do a lot of work on yourself.”

She continues: “I had a really bad time because we didn’t want it to be publicized and it was. There were very hard times. I was physically consumed. It was a very difficult decision for me because I left everything for my family and my family became divided. I left my husband, I returned to my job, I took my children, I returned to Madrid and I am coming back to life. (…) I haven’t had any luck with men. I didn’t manage to get it right. I have had many disappointments. I still believe that someone can come along and be the love of my life.” In the meantime, she takes care of her sons Amin and Naim, whom she loves more than anything. “They gave me my life back. The biggest lesson is this infinite love you have for them. I didn’t know true love until their birth and I realized that I can give my life for them.”* The page Achraf Hakimi has definitely turned for Hiba Abouk.
