Adam Cole recently opened up about a former WWE superstar who’s now in AEW that he’d love to get into the ring and have a match with.
Speaking during a recent appearance on 3NT Wrestling (via Post Wrestling), Cole expressed optimism that one day, he’d get to step into the ring against Ricochet. Cole even called Ricochet one of his favorite wrestlers, comparing him to a real life “superhero.”
“I would love it too. Again, Ricochet is one of my favorite opponents,” said Cole. “He’s a superhero. He’s just unbelievable; the things that he can do. So I’m so excited that he’s here in AEW and I don’t see any reason why at some point down the line, we can’t do Adam Cole versus Ricochet two in AEW now. I hope so. Me too, me too.”
Ricochet and Cole first shared the ring in 2010 for Dragon Gate USA. Their feud reached new heights when both were in NXT together in 2018-2019, including several North American title clashes and a WarGames match.
Ricochet and Cole last shared the ring on the March 20, 2019 episode of NXT.
