Adam Cole reflects on winning the TNT Championship at AEW Dynasty.
Adam Cole, the new TNT Champion, opened up about his emotional title win at AEW Dynasty 2025, which took place at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cole challenged Daniel Garcia in a no-time-limit, no-outside-interference match and walked away with his first singles title in AEW since joining the company in 2021.
During the AEW Dynasty Post Show Media Scrum, Adam Cole responded to a question about what it meant to win the championship in Philadelphia on the 17th anniversary of his pro wrestling debut. He said the moment ranked among the most meaningful in his entire career.
“God. So, again, anytime there’s any sort of anniversary for me in wrestling specifically, you go back and reminisce on the most special and important moments of your career and this one has gotta be toward the top. I mean, just considering the past few years and the struggles I’ve gone through with the head injuries, and then, six months later, my ankle exploded.”
“That took over a year to come back from. So mentally, it was really discouraging. And then to fast forward April 6, 2008, I had my very first match here in Philadelphia. And now, to fast forward to April 6, 2025, and win my first singles championship in AEW, against a guy I really respect in Danny Garcia it was incredibly special. I’ll never forget it.”
