Adam Cole is narrowing his eyes on MJF.
Since returning to All Elite Wrestling last month, Adam Cole has made it clear that he wants to physically destroy his friend-turned-foe MJF. In the lead up to AEW Full Gear, Cole was presented with an opportunity to potentially do so, but first he had to score three consecutive victories.
Unfortunately for Cole, his third match ended in defeat, specifically after Konosuke Takeshita struck him with MJF’s ring. As such, Roderick Strong, who successfully strung together three wins, will now face at MJF at Full Gear, while Cole sits on the sidelines.
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m incredibly disappointed, I really wanted to get my hands on MJF. But if not me, Roderick is the perfect guy,” Cole told Asbury Park Press. “For me at Full Gear, that’s the biggest thing for sure, I want to be front row to see Roddy beat the leaving hell out of MFJ. But certainly the whole card is exciting.”
Adam Cole Needs Redemption
According to Cole, a beatdown on MJF isn’t just a want, but rather a need. And luckily for him, Roderick Strong seems to be the perfect candidate to set that up for him.
“My mission is get my hands on MJF,” Cole said. “Roddy is going to rough him up, but for my closure, before I consider anything else in AEW, I need my redemption and to get my hands on MJF.”
“There’s no jealously, but there’s certainly some envy. But Roderick Strong is a brother of mine, and most importantly, we have the same vision. Do I wish I was in there with him? Of course, but I know Roddy is going to smash MFJ.”
