While the Cope name isn’t getting over with the AEW fanbase right now, Adam Copeland isn’t giving up on it just yet.
All Elite Wrestling‘s Adam Copeland recently sat down with Stephen Brunt on Up Close. During the interview, The Rated R Superstar explained why he’s trying to get the new name “Cope” over.
“I go to AEW, and now I’m Copeland, or Cope,” Adam Copeland said. “I’m trying to get the Cope thing (over) because it just looks sexier on a marquee.” [H/T: Fightful]
The Rated R Superstar is currently locked in a storyline with his friends FTR as they are trying to take down AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. The two sides will compete in a 12-man tag team match this Saturday night on Collision.
