Adam Copeland returned at AEW Worlds End after he had been sidelined due to a fractured tibia since May.
Copeland appeared in the closing moments of AEW Worlds End and set his sights on AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and The Death Riders.
Adam Copeland then spoke at the AEW Worlds End post-show media scrum, and Corey Lieb of the Wrestling Observer asked him about his recovery.
“It’s one of those deals, like if you watch my career, it’s not out of my character to do insane things,” Adam Copeland said. “It’s kind of what I do every once in a while. I’ll get a hair up my ass and decide, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna dive through a flaming table, sure.’
“So that’s just me. It’s kind of hard-wired into me. I also think it’s part of why I’ve gotten to where I’ve gotten. That being said, I also realize that I’m closer to the tail end of my career than the beginning, and I have kids now. So there’s a different mindset that goes into it.”

Copeland then noted that he had been cleared for a while. However, due to Hurricane Helene,
“In terms of recovery, I’m still lucky in that I recover like Wolverine. Part of that is, I just go after it,” Copeland said. “The day I can go after it is the day I do it. I’ve actually been cleared for a while, but Tony and I had a conversation, our area got hit by a hurricane. So it was much more important to be home. We just got the water boil advisory lifted three weeks ago.
“So we’ve been using bottled water to brush our teeth and wash our hands for close to three months. When real life hits like that, suddenly this has to take a second place. Luckily, we’re at a place where that is considered and respected. But in terms of being back and ready, I’m just ready to go because every month for me at this stage feels like a year. So I’ve gotta get in, and I’ve gotta get cooking.”
Tony Khan previously said that Copeland helped FEMA workers with Hurricane Helene relief.
