Adele got emotional after Celine Dion visited her at her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum.
Following the powerful encounter between the singers, Adele shared an affectionate message about the moment.
“I have been performing in Celine Dion’s room at the Colosseum for almost 2 years now. 4 weeks to go!” Adele wrote in a post on Instagram sharing a picture of both of them meeting. “It was the only venue I wanted to play in Vegas because it was built for her.”
She continued, “I have a picture of her right next to the stage that I touch every night before I walk on and she came to the show this weekend and it was a surprise and it was a MOMENT!!”
Adele then added a few words to Dion, telling her, “I love you so very very much. Words will never sum up what you mean to me, or what you coming to my show means, let alone how it felt seeing you back in your palace with your beautiful family. I have loved being there it has been such an honor and Saturday night will be something I remember forever and ever.”
The “Easy on Me” singer said meeting Dion was a “full circle moment” for her and ended the note saying, “Thank you so much.”
During Adele’s performance in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 26, the singer interrupted her show when she spotted Dion in the audience. Adele burst into tears and embraced Dion in a touching moment that was shared on social media and quickly went viral.
Adele’s residency is set at the Colosseum Theater at Caesar’s Palace, a venue built originally for Dion’s residency.
Weekends with Adele is wrapping up in Las Vegas, and Adele is scheduled to perform her final show on Saturday, November 23.
