Former great hope of Belgian football, Adnan Januzaj (28 years old) is having more complicated days with Sevilla FC. The winger has only played seven games this season in La Liga in the Andalusian jersey. Thus, a departure was considered this winter, and Sevilla loaned Januzaj to Istanbul Basaksehir FK until the end of the season. But before this loan, the sporting director of Sevilla FC, Victor Orta, had criticized his player for blocking a possible transfer. A statement to which the main interested party immediately responded on X.

“I would like to confirm that I have never deliberately obstructed a transfer or refused to leave the club when a good offer was on the table”he first assured. “I must now say that I find the words of my sporting director offensive and that I deeply regret them. Orta’s actions are extremely inappropriate, while I have always been respectful.” His departure on loan comes at the right time.
