Kazuchika Okada will defend the gold at AEW Grand Slam Australia.
In recent weeks, Buddy Matthews has set his sights on AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada. They have crossed paths on multiple occasions, and Okada previously dismissed Matthews’ intent to challenge for the title. However, their rivalry heated up on the February 1st episode of AEW Collision, as they had another confrontation backstage.
On the February 5th episode of AEW Dynamite, the broadcast team confirmed that Okada would defend the AEW Continental Championship against Matthews at AEW Grand Slam Australia on February 15th.
