AEW Dynamite Viewership Increases On 1/15, Demo Also Rises

AEW Dynamite saw an increase in viewership on January 15 for the Maximum Carnage special.

According to Wrestlenomics, 679,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and the show drew a 0.18 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode when 615,000 viewers tuned in. The demo is also up from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.17 rating in the same demographic.

Viewership for Wednesday’s show on MAX is unknown at this time.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with the in-ring return of Kenny Omega who defeated Brian Cage of the Don Callis Family.

Toni Storm won the first-ever Women’s Casino Gauntlet match and will face Mariah May next month at Grand Slam Australia for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

HOOK defeated Christian Cage via disqualification after The Patriarchy interfered. This led to the surprise return of Samoa Joe who helped HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata run off Cage and his stablemates.

The main event of the show saw Jon Moxley defeat Powerhouse Hobbs to retain the AEW World Championship.
