Next week’s AEW Grand Slam just got even bigger, with a handful of matches confirmed for both the Dynamite and Collision editions of the show.
During Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision, it was confirmed that Hangman Page and Jeff Jarrett would face off in a Lumberjack Strap Match on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite. The moment came after Jarrett challenged Page as he looked to settle things with the superstar.
He also said that the Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, John Silver, & Evil Uno), Bang Bang Gang (Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, & Juice Robinson), the Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly, & Orange Cassidy), Jay Lethal, and Satnam Singh would all be on hand as the lumberjacks.
As for the AEW Collision edition of Grand Slam, Chris Jericho and the rest of The Learning Tree will face off against The Conglomeration in a tornado trios match. The announcement comes just a few days after Cassidy beat Jericho on this week’s Dynamite, to which Jericho said that he wasn’t done with Cassidy just yet. The MxM Collection will also unveil a makeover they made to Max Caster’s jacket on Saturday as well.
Sammy Guevara also made sure that he would be performing at Grand Slam as well. On Collision, Guevara challenged Kazuchika Okada to face off against him in an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match at Grand Slam. It wasn’t exactly clear what night that match will take place on. However, should Guevara win, he’ll get a title shot at the fifth anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite on October 2, 2024.
