The pro wrestling world was shaken by reports of losing another legend, but it has now been confirmed that Afa Anoa’i, at 81 years old, is still very much alive. This comes after reports came out that he is no longer with us, but his family quickly took action when that report came out.

Although reports emerged that Afa has passed away, his daughter, Vale Anoa’i, and Samu have both confirmed that the wrestling icon is alive, putting to rest the premature tributes that surfaced. This does not mean he’s out of the woods, as it was described that he is still “fighting.” Hopefully, he is able to make a full recovery.

“He’s not done fighting yet, he’s still alive.”

Afa Anoa’i is one half of the legendary Wild Samoans tag team, and he continues to leave a profound legacy in the world of professional wrestling. His influence remains strong, with his seven children, many loved ones, and his nephew, WWE Superstar Roman Reigns, proudly carrying on the family tradition.

Afa Anoa’i’s journey began at the age of 17 when he enlisted in the Marine Corps. After serving in the military, he transitioned into professional wrestling, teaming up with his brother Sika to form The Wild Samoans. Together, they became one of the most dominant tag teams of their era, capturing titles across various wrestling territories, including three WWF Tag Team Championships.

Following his in-ring career, Afa returned to the WWF in the early 90s to manage The Headshrinkers, a tag team composed of his family members Sami and Fatu. He has also dedicated his time to training the next generation of wrestlers at the Wild Samoan Training Facility. Afa’s contributions to wrestling were honored with his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007. His legacy continues to thrive through his family and the countless lives he has touched in the wrestling community.

We will keep a close eye on this story for more updates. We are also sending out our best to Afa and his entire family.
