Afa The Wild Samoan Discharged From Hospital After Two Mild Heart Attacks

Afa Anoa’i, also known as WWE Hall of Famer Afa the Wild Samoan, is coming home from the hospital.

On January 12, a post on Afa’s Facebook page noted that he was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia, and he had a mild heart attack upon arrival. The post noted that he had a second small heart attack the following day, and he was sent for a heart catheterization. The post also stated that Afa was doing okay. However, he would be kept in the hospital for observation and monitoring.

In an update, the WXW Wrestling Twitter page wrote that Afa would be coming home on January 14. The post quoted Afa as saying that he “kicked out at one.”

In December 2023, Afa had two exploratory heart procedures, as he may have needed a valve replacement.
