33 Former Nigeria head coach, Sunday Oliseh has lauded the hunger and fighting spirit of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen in the team’s 2-0 win over Cameroon in the round of 16 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Atalanta forward opened the scoring nine minutes before the break after Victor Osimhen forced Oumar Gonzalez into a mistake and then teed up Lookman to fire past goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa, who was preferred to Andre Onana.

The Nigerian internationa later grabbed his brace in the 90th minute to earn victory for the Super Eagles.
However, reacting to the team’s victory, Oliseh via his official X handle, former known as Twitter, praised Osimhen fighting spirit from the blast of the whistle to the end.
“Victor Osimhen! Victor Osimhen!! Extremely impressed not only by his offensive runs, defensive work but even on corner kicks, tormenting of the Cameroonian defence, but mostly by his leadership and hunger to win! Bravo to our African Ballon D’or.”
