31 Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali was the hero of the night as he was named the Man-Of-The-Match award in Nigeria’s victory over South Africa in the semi-final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nwabali, who has been outstanding in the tournament, showed great composure and confidence in today’s win over Bafana Bafana.

He saved the team thrice with his quick reflexes and positioning to deny South Africa from scoring.
Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, who plays for South African top-flight club Chippa United, produced a good one-hand parry to foil Evidence Makgopa as half-time approached.
However, during the penalty shootouts Nwabali was outstanding as he saved two penalties to ensure the Super Eagles book a place in the final of the 2023 AFCON.
