Cameroon head coach, Rigobert Song believes the Super Eagles have what it takes to go far at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles produced a magnificent display to knock the Indomitable Lions out of the competition on Saturday.
Ademola Lookman scored in each half as Jose Peseiro’s men cruised to a 2-0 victory against their perennial rivals.
Song, who thumbed up the Super Eagles display in the game is rooting for them to win a fourth title in Cote d’Ivoire.
“Nigeria played a good game. They are a solid side and they proved that against us. Congratulations to them,'” Song said after the game.
” We are a young team, still in a rebuilding process. We made a couple of mistakes which is normal with a young team like ours.
“Nigeria have always been a favourite and I think they have the quality to win the competition.
The Super Eagles will face Angola in the quarter-finals.
The game billed for the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium will take place next week Friday.
