Equatorial Guinea head coach, Juan Micha admitted that coming up against the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be a huge test for his side, but insisted they will give their all in the game.

The Nzalang Nacional will take on the Super Eagles in their opening Group B game at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.

The encounter is slated for the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan.

The Super Eagles will head into the game as the overwhelming favourites.

Micha however claimed his side want to avoid defeat in their first game in the competition.

“Facing Nigeria in the first match will not be easy. They have a strong team and have reached a high level of technical capabilities, so we will try to confront them with all our strength, and it is important that we start the first match without losing,” the 48-year-old told Filgoal.

The encounter will kick-off at 2pm Nigeria time.
