AFCON 2023: ‘You Can Get The Job Done’ –Falode Fires Up Super Eagles To Beat Cote d’Ivoire

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board member, Aisha Falode has urged the Super Eagles to go for victory against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.

Jose Peseiro’s men will be looking to record their first win at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations when they square up with hosts in Abidjan.

Falode, who visited the team at their Ecole Nationale de la Police training base on Wednesday is upbeat they can get a favourable result against the Elephants.

“I thought I should come and give my support as we have a big game coming up tomorrow. We know we can’t all be on the pitch, but we are all on the field, if you understand what I mean,”she told the players.

“We are supporting you with our prayers, we are rooting for you, we know that when you win, we are all happy, your success is what we want.

“There is no pressure, we know you guys have the capacity, the ability to get the job done which is what we are wishing for.

“I know the NFF president has been here. I just came here in my personal capacity to watch you train and let you know that I’m supporting you like every other Nigerian.

I’m sure you must have seen this video of a young pastor praying for you. We know that with all the prayers, we will get the result.’

The Super Eagles held the Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea to a 1-1 draw in their first game at the AFCON 2023 finals.

Today’s encounter will kick-off at 6pm Nigeria time.
